Fernando Alonso drove the Renault R25 in 2005 winning 7 Grand Prix:- Malaysia, Bahrain, San Marino, European, French, German & Chinese GP's.

Fernando Alonso won the 2005 Driver's World Championship by the Brazilian Grand Prix, the 17th round of the season. Kimi Raikkonen was runner-up in the championship some 21 points adrift.

Fernando Alonso became the youngest Formula 1 Champion at 24 years and 58 days beating the 33 year old record set by Emerson Fittipaldi. Alonso was also the first and only Spanish F1 World Champion.
